Meditation Minute

My Dearest Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.” In today’s gospel reading (John 16:12-15), Jesus tells his disciples that the Holy Spirit will come to reveal what is true. The Holy Spirit reveals what is good and true. It gives us hope. Through the gift hope, we can develop a sound faith in God. Through the same Holy Spirit that came down upon the Apostles on Pentecost, we are filled given the absolute truth. Through the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, we are given the word of God which leads us to righteousness. The Holy Spirit not only reveals the absolute truth, it gives us the strength that we need to believe in the workings of God. The Holy Spirit becomes our divine teacher and mentor revealing everything we need for salvation. God’s divine revelation is revealed to us through His words and through the grace of the Holy Spirit. Open your heart and your mind to Holy Spirit to allow it in to work its deeds.

A Simple Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ, may the Holy Spirit come down upon me.

May it open my eyes to the word of God.

May it give me the peace and joy to love and serve the world.

Yours in Christ

Michael Marcon
